Yes, I had the absolute worst first car ever…..a 1974 Ford Pinto…
Not just a Ford Pinto…..a BROWN Ford Pinto….
Not the one pictured above….
Mine was even worse…
Mine had yellow trim to go along with the sexy brown paint scheme….
The thing had no air-conditioning, would only do about 6mph top speed, (downhill) but did have a cassette deck and a radio……
My own kids sometimes ask me what type of car I drove when I was a teenager.
I tell them a “Pinto” and they break out laughing….
“What the Hell kind of name is a Pinto for a car?”
A Mustang is sexy, a Colt is cool, a Viper is OK, even a Rabbit was not all that bad….but a stinking Pinto??!!!
Ya know, you never see any Pinto’s out on the roads anymore…..they are all gone. You can still see 40yr old Volkswagen bugs puttering around….but no Pintos…
Maybe it was the annoying little habit they had of exploding into horrific fireballs of death if just given the slightest tap on the rear bumper.

Yea my 1st was a pinto to but I had the hatchback and it was canary yellow with brown interior

I can so relate.
My sister and I had a ford pinto. Ours was orange with plaid interior. Full glass hatch and a sunroof! it was Primo till my mom smashed it into a guard rail and totaled it!!!
