The Band “PLAYER” hit it big with their first hit, “Baby Come Back” which hit #1 on the Billboard Charts in 1978. Not a true “One Hit Wonder”, the group did have two subsequent songs which achieved modest success, “This Time I’m in it for Love” and “Prisoner of your Love“. The original members of the group were only together from 1977-1982 but in the years since, various groups of members have tried to resurrect the group in various forms. The latest version of the group is still performing shows to this date. One of the original members, bassist Ronn Moss, is an actor and has starred on the daytime Soap “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 1987.
“Baby come back” is still a great song after all these years.
