British born actress Rachel Ward was a very successful and sought-after talent in the early and mid 1980′s. From her role in the 1983 mini-series “The Thorn Birds”, to roles in films such as “Against All Odds, Dead Men don’t wear Plaid”, and “Sharkey’s Machine”, it appeared the beautiful and talented woman was well on her way to a highly successful career in Hollywood. Then, in the mid 1980′s, she pretty much disappeared from sight to US Audiences.
She married Australian Actor Bryan Brown in 1983 and to date they have had 3 children.
Rachel Ward resumed her acting career in Australia and has continued to enjoy a very successful career “down under”.
In addition to acting, she has also been successful as a Writer and Director in Australia and has won a number of awards.
Today, at age 52, she continues to enjoy her career, family, and life in Australia.
