Classic television sidekicks, though as you remember, Darryl and Darryl never said a word over the course of the entire series run of NEWHART (1982-1990) except for each yelling “Quiet!!” at their new brides in the series finale. (One of whom was an unknown and brunette Lisa Kudrow of “Friends” fame)
William Sanderson (Larry) has gone on to work in other television and film projects (True Blood, Deadwood) but I would bet that John Voldstad (Darryl) and Tony Papenfuss (Darryl) are still out there somewhere just smiling, nodding, and giving their signature two-finger salutes…..
