This was the one and only US Chart hit for the British New Wave Band “M“.
The song was the #1 song on the Billboard Charts in early November of 1979.
While the group was together from 1979-1984, they released a total of 4 albums and had some minor hits in the United Kingdom, but no other chart hits here in the US.
After the breakup of the group, some of it’s members went on to found the British group “Level 42“.
This is one of those goofy little songs that just claws its way into your brain every time you hear it, causing you to aimless wander around glassy-eyed mumbling “pop..pop..pop musik….pop…pop…pop..pop musik”…
