Leo Sayer

Why do I get the feeling that wacky fitness guru Richard Simmons was actually named Leo Sayer in his younger days?…….

English Singer Leo Sayer had a number of hits in the US during the 1970′s and early 1980′s.

He charted Eight Top-40 Billboard Hits in the US from 1974-1981.

In his native England, he has charted 15 Top-40 singles since 1973.

His US Chart hits included:

Long Tall Glasses (I can Dance)
You Make me Feel Like Dancing
More Than I Can Say
When I Need You
How Much Love
Thunder in my Heart
Easy to Love
Living in a Fantasy

When I Need You” and “You Make me Feel Like Dancing” both reached #1 on the US Billboard Charts.

Leo Sayer won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” in 1977.

He now lives in Australia and continues to perform and record, nearly 40 years after releasing his first album.
