Van Stephenson

Van Stephenson had his One-Hit Wonder with the Hit “Modern Day Delilah” which hit #22 on the Billboard Top-40 Charts in 1984.

I always found it to be a catchy tune.

A later single, “What the Big Girls Do” reached #45 on the Top-100 charts later that same year.

He was a very successful songwriter in the Country Music genre, writing for such artists as Janie Fricke, Crystal Gayle, and Restless Heart.

Starting in the early 1990′s, he was one of the members of the popular Country Music group “BlackHawk“.

He left BlackHawk in 2000 due to medical issues but was with the group during the period in which they charted thirteen singles into the Billboard Top-40 Country Charts.

Van Stephenson died of Cancer in 2001.
