Chilliwack

Chilliwack is a Canadian Rock Band that had a number of hits on the US charts in the early 1980′s.

The group first started recording as Chilliwack in 1970 after having previously been known as “The Collectors“.

They had a number of hit singles in Canada during the 1970′s but did not crack the US Top-40 charts until the 1981 hit “My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone) which peaked at #22 on the Billboard Charts.

They followed with “I Believe” which peaked at #33 in 1982 on the US Charts. (Surprised it did not chart higher, it is a great song..)

Also in 1982, they released “Whatcha Gonna Do (When I’m Gone)” which reached #41 on the US Charts.

That would be last chart hit for the band here in the US.

During the early 80′s period, Chilliwack was:

Bill Henderson – Vocals, Guitar
Brian Macleod – Guitar, Drums
Ab Bryant – Bass

John Roles – Guitar
Bucky Berger – Drums

Chilliwack broke up in 1988. Lead singer Bill Henderson teamed with bass player Doug Edwards and re-formed Chilliwack in 1997.

Chilliwack has charted 19 singles into the Canadian Top-100 Charts over the course of their career.

They still tour Canada.
