Air Supply is an Australian Soft Rock band that was very popular in the 1980′s.
The group was formed in Australia in 1975 but did not find success on the US Charts until 1980.
From 1980-1985 they would chart 11 singles onto the Billboard Top-40 Charts.
These hits included:
Lost in Love
All out of Love
Making Love out of Nothing At All
Every Woman in the World
The One that you Love
Even the Nights are Better
Sweet Dreams
Young Love
Two Less Lonely People in the World
Here I Am (Just When I Thought I was Over You)
Just as I Am
Their top hit was “The One that You Love” which hit #1 on the Billboard Charts in 1981.
Eight of their songs hit the Top-5 on the Billboard Charts.
During the peak years of the 80′s, the band was:
Graham Russell – Vocals, Guitar
Russell Hitchcock – Vocals
Frank Esler-Smith – Keyboards
David Moyse – Guitar, Bass
Ralph Cooper – Drums
I actually saw them in Concert once in the mid 1980′s. They came to the State Fair and tickets were free so I decided to check them out. They were actually real good! Of course, if I had said as much back then, my friends would have beat the tar out of me, but they were indeed good. They were one of the best bands I have seen as far as being able to recreate the sounds and harmonies of their records in a concert setting…..even at a State Fair.
Today, Russell and Hitchcock perform as a Duo using the Air Supply name. They are still cranking out albums and are still touring the world, 35 years after first forming the group.

I am a huge fan of Air Supply!! They don’t make music like this anymore. We need the 70′s back I say! fabulous blog you have. Makes me nostalgic.
