Jennifer Grey rose to fame with her role as Frances “Baby” Houseman in the 1987 classic film “Dirty Dancing“.
Prior to Dirty Dancing she also had roles in films such as Reckless, The Cotton Club, American Flyers, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, and Red Dawn, in which she appeared with eventual Dirty Dancing co-star Patrick Swayze.
In the early 1990′s she went in for a cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery (nose job) that ended up being so botched that she required a second surgery to correct the damage. The result left her with such an altered appearance that many of her friends did not even recognize her.
In 1999, she appeared in the short-lived sitcom “It’s Like, You Know” in which she played a variation of herself, an actress named Jennifer Grey.
Jennifer is the daughter of Actor Joel Grey.
She was previously engaged to Matthew Broderick and Johnny Depp.
Jennifer studied Dance and Theater in College which helped her win the role in Dirty Dancing.
Dirty Dancing was the first film to sell a million copies on home video.
She has done sporadic Television and Film work since Dirty Dancing and is now married to The New Adventures of Old Christine Actor/Director Clark Gregg and they have a young daughter together.
In 2010, Jennifer appeared on season 11 of the popular “Dancing with the Stars” and won the competition with partner Derek Hough.
