Lea Thompson is an American Actress best known for her roles as Lorraine McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy of films.
She got her start in Hollywood with the 1983 films “Jaws 3-D” and “All the Right Moves“.
She was briefly engaged to “Jaws 3-D co-star Dennis Quaid.
That was followed in 1984 by the cult film classic “Red Dawn“, a film in which she and Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing) portrayed the only two females in the group of teen rebels called “The Wolverines“.
Back to the Future was released in 1985, with sequels being released in 1989 and 1990.
Other film roles have included “The Wild Life”, “Some Kind of Wonderful”, “Howard the Duck”, “Casual Sex?”, “Dennis the Menace”, “The Beverly Hillbillies”, “The Little Rascals”, ‘SpaceCamp” and others.
From 1995-1999 she starred on the NBC sitcom “Caroline in the City“.
She has also appeared in a series of Made-for-TV movies for The Hallmark Channel in which she plays “Jane Doe” an Ex-Secret Agent turned Housewife. To date, she has made 9 movies in the series.
She has directed two of the films in the “Jane Doe” series.
She is married to Director Howard Deutch, her Director in the 1987 film “Some Kind of Wonderful“. The couple has two daughters.
