C. Thomas Howell

C. Thomas Howell was one of the most popular young male actors in Hollywood during much of the 1980′s.

He became famous with his breakout role in the 1983 film “The Outsiders“.

He then went on to films such as “Red Dawn”, “Grandview USA”, “Tank”, “Secret Admirer”, “Soul Man”, “The Hitcher” and others.

He co-starred with Actor Patrick Swayze in 3 films with “The Outsiders”, “Grandview USA”, and “Red Dawn“.

Along with Eric Stoltz, and Michael J. Fox, he was one of the three finalists for the role of Marty McFly in the Back to the Future film series. Stoltz won the role, but was replaced by Fox after filming began.

He was briefly married to “Soul Man” co-star Rae Dawn Chong.

As a child, he was a child Rodeo Star.

The “C” stands for Christopher.

He had a minor role as a neighbor boy in “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

As the 1990′s approached, he continued to actively work in films and on television, appearing in nearly 100 projects from 1990 to the present.

Most of his roles in the past 20 years have been in B-Movies, Straight-to-video productions, and less than mainstream projects.

He did have a featured role in the 1993 film “Gettysburg” and in it’s sequel “Gods and Generals“.

On Television, he guested on series such as “ER“, “24” and “Criminal Minds“.

He and his current wife have been married since 1992 and they have three children together.

He is now 43 years old and has been actively working in Hollywood for the past 30 years.
