Restless Heart

I have my Wife to thank for this band.

Prior to my meeting my lovely wife, I really never gave Country Music much of a thought. When I first met her, my wife listened almost nothing BUT Country Music. If I wanted to continue on with a long-term relationship with her, I would have to expand my musical horizons a bit….

Which I did.

One of her favorite bands was Restless Heart. After a few listens, they quickly became on of my favorite Country groups.

Restless Heart released their debut album in 1985.

Over the course of their career, they have released 7 Studio Albums.

Six of their singles reached #1 on the Billboard Country Charts.

During their peak years of the 80′s and early 90′s, the band was:

Larry Stewart – Vocals, Guitar
John Dittrich – Drums
Paul Gregg – Bass
Dave Innis – Piano, Keyboards
Greg Jennings – Guitar

Over the years, the group has found success on the Billboard Country, Billboard Adult Contemporary, and Billboard Top-40 Charts.

Their hits have included:

Til I Loved You
That Rock Won’t Roll
I’ll Still Be Loving You
The Bluest Eyes in Texas
Wheels
Why Does it have to be
A Tender Lie
Big Dreams in a Small Town
Fast Moving Train
When She Cries
You can Depend on Me
Tell Me What You Dream

And many others…

The group charted 23 hits into the Billboard Country Top-40.

The group charted 5 Hits onto the Billboard AC Charts.

The group has placed 2 hits onto the Billboard Top-40 Charts.

My personal favorite song, “The Bluest Eyes in Texas” was written by Singer Van Stephenson who had a pop hit with “Modern Day Delilah” before joining the Country Band “Blackhawk“.

From 1992-2003 saw a period in which singer Larry Stewart left the band. The remaining members disbanded and then reunited a few times and continued to tour and record. Stewart returned to the band in 2003 and the group is now again intact with the original members from the peak years.
