Loni Anderson

Loni Anderson is one of the instantly recognizable sex symbols of the 1970′s and 1980′s.

She is best known for her signature role as receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the classic sitcom “WKRP in Cincinnati” which ran on CBS from 1978-1982.

Her sexy pin-up posters were among the best selling during the 70′s and 80′s. I did my part in that I proudly had a Loni Anderson poster adorning my wall through much of Junior High and High School.

She is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota and was once a finalist in the Miss Minnesota pageant in the early 1960′s.

Her role on “WKRP” earned her 3 Golden Globe Award Nominations and 2 Emmy Award Nominations.

She had a well-publicized marriage and messy divorce with actor Burt Reynolds.

She has naturally jet-black hair but dyed it blonde with the hopes it would get her better roles in Hollywood.

She starred as Jayne Mansfield, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the TV Biopic “The Jayne Mansfield Story“.

In recent years, has said that she and “WKRP” co-star Gary Sandy (Andy) were romantically involved during much of the time the series was on the air.

Now 64yrs old, she continues to work in Hollywood, having most recently co-starred on the Tori Spelling series “So noTORIous“.

When I started my autograph collecting hobby, one of my first goals was to get signed photos from all the sexy women who’s posters adorned my wall as a teen. Loni Anderson was one of my first successes.
