Bad English

Bad English was an American Rock Band that had some brief success during the late 1980′s and early 1990′s.

Lead Singer John Waite had been the lead singer of the group “The Babys” in the late 70′s and had enjoyed some success as a solo act.

Guitarist Neal Schon and Keyboardist Jonathan Cain were both members of Journey, which at the time, was disbanded.

Bassist Ricky Phillips and Drummer Deen Castronovo rounded out the group.

Waite, Phillips, and Cain were all members of The Babys during the 70′s.

The groups self-titled debut Album was released in 1989.

They released their only other Album in 1991.

Their hits included:

Forget Me Not
When I See You Smile
Price of Love
Possession
Best of What I Got
Straight To Your Heart

Their top hit was “When I See You Smile” which hit #1 on the Billboard Top-40 Charts in 1989.

After a very brief career, the group broke up in 1991.

Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain returned to Journey when that group reformed.

Deen Castronovo would later join them in Journey and is still with that group today.

Ricky Phillips is currently the bass player for Styx.

John Waite returned to a solo career.
