Hot Chocolate was a British Band that had a number of popular hits here in the US during the 1970′s.
The group, led by singer Errol Brown, had a number of hits in the United Kingdom during the course of a long career, but are best known in the US for the hit “You Sexy Thing“, a #3 hit on the Billboard Charts in 1976.
The follow-up single “Every 1′s a Winner” peaked at #6 on the Billboard Charts. (Love that song!!)
Their third single was “So You Win Again” which peaked at #31 on the Billboard Charts in 1977.
In the United Kingdom, the group placed at least one song onto the British Charts in every year between 1970 and 1984.
The group charted 25 singles into the British Top-40 over their career.
The group played at a Wedding Reception for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
“You Sexy Thing” actually charted into the Top-10 on the British Charts in three different decades, with the 70′s, 80′s, and 90′s.
Errol Brown still occasionally tours the U.K. using the Hot Chocolate name, though the band broke up in 1986.
