The Go-Go’s are an all-female rock band first formed in Los Angeles in 1978.
The group was very popular and had a number of chart hits during the early 1980′s.

Their most successful single was “We Got the Beat” which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Charts in 1981.

Jane Wiedlin – Guitar, Vocals
Gina Schock – Drums

The group has released just 4 Studio Albums in their career.
Both Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin have enjoyed solo careers while not performing with The Go-Go’s.
The group broke up from 1985-1990 before reuniting.
The group continues to tour frequently though lead singer Belinda Carlisle said on her Facebook page that the 2010 tour would be the groups “farewell” tour.
