Don Henley

Don Henley is an American Singer, Songwriter, Drummer, and Musician. He is best known as a longtime member the group “The Eagles” although he has had a highly successful Solo career aside from that group.

Don Henley was born in 1947 in Gilmer, Tx.

This post will only cover his Solo Career.

He released his first Solo Album in 1982 and has gone on to record a total of 4 Studio Albums.

To date, he has charted 8 singles on the Billboard Top-40 Charts.

He has charted a total of 19 singles into the Top-40 of the Billboard Rock Charts in his career.

His many classic singles include:

Dirty Laundry
The Boys of Summer
All She Wants to do is Dance
Sunset Grill
End of the Innocence
New York Minute
The Heart of the Matter
The Last Worthless Evening
Not Enough Love in the World

To date, his most successful single has been “Dirty Laundry” which hit #3 on the Billboard Charts in 1982.

Four of his singles have hit #1 on the Billboard Rock Charts.

He has sang numerous duets with other artists that have cracked the Billboard Charts, including “Leather and Lace” (With Stevie Nicks), “Walkaway Joe” (With Trisha Yearwood), and “Sometimes Love Just Aint Enough” (With Patty Smyth)

During the course of his solo career, he has won a total of 7 Grammy Awards.

During the early 1980′s, he was romantically involved with Singer Stevie Nicks. Imagine the musical genes their kids would have inherited…..

He continues to record and perform, both with The Eagles, and as a Solo artist.

      Nah. I did get a butt lift though so now I can wear my buttless chaps and Cowboy Hat when I go pick up the kid at school. He hates that!
